Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal data.
Last updated: 30th July 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Friendora ("we", "us", "Friendora") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use Friendora Dating Club (the "Service"). We are committed to handling your data in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
By using the Service you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Friendora private limited, having its place of business, India. For any privacy questions or requests, contact our Grievance Officer (details in section 11).
2. Data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the community:
- Information you give us: your name or nickname, age, city, a short bio, and a profile photo (if you choose to appear as a member), and your Telegram handle when you contact us.
- Payment information: if you buy a membership, payment is processed by our third-party payment gateway ([PAYMENT GATEWAY NAME]). We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers; the gateway handles them under its own security standards.
- Technical information: basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically for security and to keep the Service running.
3. How we use your data
- To create and display your member profile, only with your consent.
- To operate, maintain and secure the Service.
- To process membership payments and provide support.
- To verify identity where you have asked to be a "Verified" member.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. Consent, and photos of members
We publish a member's profile - including their photo - only where that member has given us their explicit, informed and written consent to do so. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer, and we will remove your profile promptly. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before withdrawal.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Our payment gateway, to process transactions.
- Service providers who host or maintain the Service, bound by confidentiality.
- Authorities, where required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data only as long as your profile is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations. When you ask us to delete your profile, we remove your published data promptly, subject to any records we must retain by law.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or update inaccurate data;
- ask us to erase your data;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
- raise a grievance with us (section 11) and, if unsatisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures - including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and restricted server permissions - to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold data of a minor, we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
11. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Rules, our Grievance Officer is:
Name: Friendora
Email: info@friendora.club
We will acknowledge grievances within the timeframes required by law and resolve them as quickly as possible.
